Antigua, Guatemala
The volcanic character of Antigua's Bourbon, carried into espresso discipline. Soils framed by three volcanoes give the bean dense mineral uptake.

Antigua is Guatemala's historic coffee region, a high valley framed by the Agua, Fuego and Acatenango volcanoes. Volcanic ash and mineral-rich soil are the defining factor.
Bourbon, Latin America's classic heritage variety. In Antigua's conditions it develops with denser mineral uptake; the volcanic character carries directly into the bean. A consistent base for espresso discipline.
Washed process: after harvest the cherry is mechanically separated, ferments in a tank, gets rinsed, then sun-dries. The classic method long established in Antigua; brings clarity to espresso.
At our atelier we roast to a Full City profile. This profile carries Antigua's volcanic character into the espresso cup; balances body and character in milk-based drinks.
Our recommendation
Espresso machine or Moka pot is a good starting point. A full-bodied base for milk-based drinks.
