Barista Consulting
A one-on-one programme for your barista.
A single hands-on session or continuous mentorship; let's elevate your barista's coffee level together. Recipe building, milk technique, peak-hour operations: we shape the focus around your café's actual needs.
Who it is for
The baristas we work with
From the solo barista in a fresh shop to small-team boutique cafés; three typologies open to learning.
Solo barista
One-person stations in newly opened venues: building a recipe from scratch, finding the right gear and rhythm.
Small team
Two to four baristas in a café: standardising the cup so the same bean lands the same way every time; menu calibration together.
Seasoned, ready to refresh
Baristas with years on the bar who want to see new brewing methods and specialty trends; mutual learning.
What we work on
Three focus areas
Espresso Calibration
Recipe building, dial-in methodology, extraction balance. Direct work with the beans you serve; we settle the grind-dose-time triangle together.
Milk & Latte Art
Pouring technique, microfoam consistency, customer-experience focused presentation. One-on-one hands-on programme; the small adjustments that make a difference past 100 cups a day.
Menu & Workflow
Coffee menu design, peak-hour operation, quality-control practices. Tailored to your café's flow; seasonal menu revision optional.
Philosophy
A barista is not an operator but the café's palate. Calibration is taught through cause-and-effect, not memorisation; once it lands, it stays for years.
How we work
A three-step programme
Current state
We visit your café, observe the current setup, and spend 30 minutes with your barista. We pin down the area that needs the most attention.
1-hour visit
One-on-one session
Hands-on programme at our roastery or your café. Espresso dial-in, milk technique and menu work; alongside your barista.
3–4 hours
Follow-up
A short follow-up two weeks later: changes, lingering questions, additional focus areas. If ongoing mentorship is chosen, a monthly rhythm opens.
Monthly optional
Frequently asked
Before you apply
One-off or ongoing?
Both options exist. The one-off programme is a one-day hands-on session plus a two-week follow-up. Ongoing mentorship runs on a monthly rhythm and covers menu revisions, new bean evaluations and similar work.
Do I have to use your beans?
No. We work with whichever beans you serve. That said, if we already have a supply agreement, the consulting fee carries a discount.
Can my latte art really improve?
Consistency is teachable; level depends on regular practice. In the one-on-one session we set the right pour angle and microfoam standard; the practice is yours.
What team size suits this?
Ideal for 1–4 person café operations. For larger teams we recommend a full-day multi-session format instead of a half-day.
